More than 12,000+ successful procedures in 17 years
Half the hair transplantation process is technique and maintenance treatment, and the other half is the hairline design that has to be extremely artistic and look natural years after the procedure is done. I sometimes see patients of mine that have such a natural result I even can not tell they had a transplant! On the other hand so many unfortunate men and women go commercial and by trying to save money, they are stuck with a horribly artificial-looking hair over their head, or poor results.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a modern and minimally invasive hair transplant technique that offers natural-looking results with minimal scarring. In an FUE procedure, individual hair follicles are extracted directly from the donor area (usually the back or sides of the scalp) using a specialized micro-punch tool. These follicles are then carefully transplanted into the recipient area, where hair is thinning or balding. Unlike traditional strip harvesting methods, FUE leaves tiny, dot-like scars that are virtually undetectable to the naked eye. This technique is favored for its precision, quicker recovery time, and ability to achieve a natural appearance without a linear scar. Ideal for patients looking for a less invasive option with outstanding results, FUE has become one of the most popular choices for hair restoration today.
At SEP, we use the most refined implantation techniques to provide superb hair restoration results for even the most challenging cases and areas including eyebrows, beard, and mustache or scarred areas. The hair is taken from the back of the scalp where hairs are usually abundant, and sometimes from the skin under the chin, as tiny follicular units (FUEs) that are extracted one at a time. Dr. Touma and his team specialize in micrografting, which is the implantation of single hairs one at a time to obtain the most naturally looking hairline. The whole procedure is done under local anesthesia and with very little inconvenience post operatively. We always emphasize our patient's safety, and make sure we never cause depletion of the donor area. One or two sessions are generally enough for most people, with superb final results showing after a few months, and maturing at one year. Medical treatment is always recommended to maintain results.

A hair transplant is suitable for individuals experiencing hair loss or thinning hair who have sufficient donor hair at the back or sides of the scalp. A consultation with a hair transplant specialist will help determine if you're a good candidate.
The most common types are Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) . FUE involves extracting individual follicles directly from the scalp , while FUT involves removing a strip of scalp and transplanting the follicles.
The duration varies based on the extent of hair loss and the number of grafts needed. Typically, it can take between 6 to 8 hours.
Local anesthesia is used to minimize discomfort. Patients may feel some pressure or mild discomfort, but it is generally well-tolerated.
Initial recovery usually takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Patients can resume normal activities within a few days but should avoid strenuous activities for a couple of weeks.
Hair transplants are not restricted to the scalp. They can also be performed on other areas like eyebrows, beards, and even mustaches. This is particularly useful for individuals who want to enhance or restore hair in these areas due to thinning, scarring, or other reasons.
Hair transplants are considered permanent, as the transplanted hair follicles are resistant to hair loss. However, the natural aging process may still affect hair density over time.
Risks include infection, scarring, and unnatural-looking results. Choosing an experienced surgeon reduces these risks.
Most patients can return to work within a few days, depending on their comfort level and the nature of their job.
Follow your surgeon's pre-operative instructions, which may include avoiding certain medications, alcohol, and smoking. Keep your scalp clean and avoid applying any products.
New hair growth typically begins around 3 to 4 months after the procedure, with significant improvement noticeable at 6 to 12 months.
